Saddle Tramps do not receive any funding from the University, the TTU Athletics Department, or student fees. Saddle Tramps pay for all expenses through membership dues and donations received from alumni, Saddle Tramp Alumni, friends and families of Saddle Tramps, and the general public.

With the absorption of the Ex-Students’ Association into the TTU System, donations made to Saddle Tramps through Texas Tech are now tax-deductible, to the extent allowed by law.

Donations received are used to pay for red and black crepe paper streamers, shotgun shells, workshirts, formal shirts, and bells. Donations received by Saddle Tramps are NEVER used for food, beverages, parties, social events, formals, or gifts.
