Double OT Thriller!

Mason Fox

Greetings, Saddle Tramps Alumni

What a weekend for Texas Tech! The Red Raiders took down Arizona State in Lubbock in an absolute thriller, winning 111-106 and moving up to No. 9 in the AP Poll. The energy in the arena was unreal, and we made sure our presence was felt, cheering on the team every step of the way. It’s been an exciting season so far, and it’s awesome to see Tech climbing the rankings.

Outside of the game, the brotherhood has been staying busy, not just with social events but also giving back to the community. For Sibling Saturday, we got together for a bowling night, and it was a blast. Seeing the guys bring their families out, compete a little, and just hang out really showed what this organization is all about. Events like these remind us that Saddle Tramps isn’t just about supporting Tech—it’s about the friendships and connections that last way beyond college.

We also had a couple of great volunteer events recently. A group of us helped out at the Lubbock Lions Club annual Pancake Festival, staying after to tear down and clean up. It was a great way to give back and make sure everything was stored safely. Then, after the ASU game, we stuck around to help clean the stadium and raise money for the organization. With volunteers from other groups pitching in, the work went by fast, and we had way more Saddle Tramps show up than last time, which really showed how much guys want to step up and improve the org. Even after a stressful game, we got everything done in about 30-40 minutes even though there was less work than last time.

Big thanks to everyone who came out to help and to our alumni for continuing to support us. We’ve got more big games and events ahead, and we’re excited to keep building on what makes this group special.
